The Roig Arena is a 58,000 m² multipurpose venue in Valencia, designed to host sporting, music, cultural and corporate events. Together with Ramboll UK Ltd., JG Ingenieros provided MEP engineering services for the venue, which has a capacity of 20,800 spectators when configured for basketball and up to 26,300 attendees for concerts.
The facilities were designed to adapt to different formats and occupancy levels, from partial use to large-scale events. The climate control, electrical, communications, and plumbing systems ensure operational flexibility, continuity of service, and energy efficiency.
BIM coordination integrated architecture, structure, and all building services disciplines into a single federated model. The model evolved from LOD 200 in the preliminary design to LOD 500 as-built, enabling the anticipation of clashes, optimization of layouts, and the consolidation of a valuable tool for building operation and maintenance.
