JG Ingenieros has provided the architecture and facilities engineering service for the design and construction management of the new industrial headquarters of the companies Biokit S.A. and Systelab S.A. of the Werfen group, located on the outskirts of Lliçà d’Amunt, in collaboration with the architectural companies BiG i PINEARQ.
Biokit is a multinational company located in the Can Malé area of Lliçà d’Amunt, with a history of more than 40 years in the in vitro diagnostics sector. This company researches, develops, produces and distributes reagents for application in laboratories and hospitals.
For this reason, the new headquarters of Biokit and Systelab, with 37,905 m2, is configured as a state-of-the-art facility that projects an image of an advanced center of high technological quality. It consists of 5 buildings, connected to each other through a backbone arranged in a N-S direction and parallel to the unevenness of the land. The urbanization has a single entrance on the southern edge of the plot, with outdoor parking for 367 car spaces and 80 bicycles, loading and unloading dock and garden areas.
