Villa María del Triunfo Sports Complex

Lima | Peru

JG Ingenieros provided MEP engineering services for the Andrés Avelino Cáceres Sports Complex, including the design and calculation of all electromechanical installations and technical assistance for construction supervision. Located in the Villa María del Triunfo district, 21 km south of Lima, the project formed part of the works carried out for the XVIII Pan American Games and the VI Parapan American Games Lima 2019.

With a total area of 215,489 m², the complex hosted competitions in hockey, rugby, softball, baseball, pelota, and water polo. In addition to the buildings and support spaces, the project included the addition of two outdoor recreational swimming pools, two tennis courts, and 11 volleyball and futsal courts.

The project was developed using a fast-track approach, overlapping design and construction, and employing BIM methodology. The complex topography of the site required special coordination between the external networks and permanent infrastructure with the temporary installations needed for the event.
