Focus 76: Implementation of MantTEST and Iris JG at UPC
Digital Facility Management: a unique platform that centralizes information, standardizes processes, and improves operational efficiency.
The Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) manages 9 campuses, 106 buildings, and 507,000 m² of built space (on a total land area of 2,000,000 m²). To address this volume of infrastructure, the UPC has implemented a comprehensive digitalization of its Facility Management model using a unique platform developed by Test JG , through MantTEST and Iris JG, which supports the entire operation: asset inventory, preventive maintenance, document management, supplier oversight, and interaction with thousands of internal users.
Project highlights:
- Graphic space management (Iris JG): import of plans, visual operation and automatic generation of 13,200 spaces for dynamic and always up-to-date mapping.
- Preventive maintenance (MantTEST): digitization of the preventive plan with inventory of more than 6,000 assets, protocols and visual planning to coordinate actions and improve forecasting.
- Incident management: more than 2,000 incidents per month, with SSO for 6,000 users, structured portal, geolocation and graphic selection of the affected space.
- Document management: centralized repository with automatic archiving and traceability by building, zone and period, accessible from the inventory or each incident.
- Supplier supervision: objective indicators to evaluate compliance with preventive measures, resolution times, budget control, and comparisons by campus.
The project has been designed with an open structure for future integrations such as BIM, IoT (indoor air quality) and advanced analytics (AI) with automated reporting.
