Focus 77: Chulucanas Hospital, Peru – Architecture
Fast-track and collaborative design for the hospital infrastructure of Piura.
The Chulucanas II-1 Support Hospital, in Piura (Peru), was developed using a fast-track model based on integrated coordination between design and construction, with teams working simultaneously on site, in Lima and in Spain.
JG Ingenieros participated in the functional planning, architecture, structures and installations, from feasibility and site studies to detailed design and support during execution.
Project highlights:
- Collaborative and fast-track design: continuous coordination between different teams to optimize time, resolve requirements and adapt the design during execution.
- Optimization of implementation: analysis of alternatives to define a systematic and flexible solution, adjusted to the conditions of the terrain and the project.
- Functional design: organization of the hospital around courtyards that promote natural lighting and ventilation, with criteria of flexibility, clarity of circulation and possibility of future expansions.
- Coordination during construction: parallel work between the technical teams of Peru and Spain to ensure the functional and technical coherence of the project.
