The real estate industry is one of the main CO2e carbon emitters in the European Union, which makes it one of the key sectors to decarbonise. Due to global warming and the change in industry regulations to achieve carbon CO2e emission reduction targets, many buildings could be at risk of becoming “stranded” or “obsolete”.
