17 years of BIM at JG Ingenieros

From pioneers to benchmarks in highly complex projects.

In 2008 we adopted the BIM methodology (Revit) when its use was still incipient in Spain. Seventeen years later, it is part of more than 90% of our projects (hospitals, data centers or biosafety laboratories) to achieve greater definition, better coordination and greater efficiency.

What BIM brings to JG:

• Higher technical definition of installations (HVAC, PCI, medical gases, electrical).
• Interdisciplinary coordination and reduction of interference.
• Efficiency in design, measurements and construction, with consistent and traceable information.

We share with you the article prepared by our colleagues, Albert Artús , Mònica Carci and Gil Vinyeta , in which we explain how we work with BIM at JG:

• Collaboration in CDE and parametric modeling.
• Integrated calculation in the model, with proprietary developments and specific add-ons.
• CAD-BIM coexistence for complete and integrated documentation.
• Measurements and budget linked to the model, automation with Dynamo and developments in C#.

We apply BIM in a differentiated way in hospitals, data processing centers (DPCs) and biosafety laboratories (BSL4), where coordination and quality control are critical.

In addition, we have ISO 19650 certification and a continuous training plan that promotes the specialization of the team.
