[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1584115225962{margin-top: 50px !important;}”][vc_column css_animation=”fadeInUp” width=”1\/2″ el_class=”fullwidemobile”][vc_column_text css=””]On January 21st, we renewed our commitment to research and to the Polytechnic University of Catalonia for two years, providing the JG-UPC chair (for the study of sustainability in building engineering) with the necessary resources to continue its research. <\/p>\n

These are developed along four main lines:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Energy and comfort optimization of logistics warehouses using CFD (fluid dynamics simulation) tools validated in-situ; project carried out for the company Montepino Log\u00edstica.<\/li>\n
  2. CFD study of different air diffusion and decontamination systems in high biosafety laboratories; in line with the recent projects that JG is developing for the CSIC and the Carlos III Institute.<\/li>\n
  3. Characterization of the circularity of construction materials, especially in installation systems, where very little information is available.<\/li>\n
  4. Development of generative AI tools for the initial design of industrial buildings, with a special focus on data centers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The JG-UPC chair is directed by Dr. Eva Cuerva, from ETSEIB, and has a monitoring committee made up of professors, experts and staff from JG: Eduard Egusquiza, Pere Esquerra and Pere Alavedra (ETSEIB), Andreu Arriola (ETSAB), Mar\u00eda Salamero (COEIC), Albert Art\u00fas and Juan Gallostra (JG Engineers).<\/p>\n
